Fiera Foods Congratulates Tom Gunter on Golden Pencil Award

TORONTO, June 25 – Fiera Foods Company (“Fiera Foods”) congratulates former Executive Vice President & General Manager Tom Gunter on receiving the 2018 Golden Pencil Award from the Food Industry Association of Canada.

The Golden Pencil Award was established in 1957 to recognize the efforts of industry leaders who are focused on improving the Canadian food industry. The “golden pencil” symbolizes a partnership between buyers and sellers in the industry. Mr. Gunter is receiving the prestigious award because of his lifetime contributions to the industry, including his work at Fiera Foods.

Mr. Gunter is the first executive from Fiera Foods to accept this award and will be honored at the 2018 Golden Pencil Awards celebration on November 19, 2018 at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto. In addition to Mr. Gunter, former Sobeys Senior Vice-President Mary Dalimonte will receive this year’s Golden Pencil Award.
